Coaching Inner Game®

Coaching Inner Game®
What is the Coaching Inner Game®?

The Inner Game ® is a proven method to be used in overcoming self-imposed obstacles that prevent an individual or a team from accessing their full potential and achieving a certain external goal.

Challenge of the Coaching Inner Game®

Whether in personal or in professional life, the biggest obstacles are placed by ourselves. Fear, loss of focus, doubts, lack of self-confidence, lack of assertiveness... Internal dialogues that attempt to self-explain one's behaviors and reactions begin, and never end, and the decision-making process to achieve individual satisfaction, learning and feeling of mission accomplished.

For all this, this "Inner Game" goes beyond the results of a company, and enters into the particular logic of the people who are part of it.

In the corporate environment, this Inner Game takes into account, not only this dialogue that each person has with herself/himself, but two others: the exterior, based on relationships with colleagues and teams, and the culture, which are the norms and rules of the company.

Our solutions about Coaching Inner Game®

The Inner Game® model in action considers these 3 dialogues and creates 3 actions to respond to them:

  1. The exterior game versus the interior game: Know how to identify what your potential is and what inhibits it. The Inner Game is a game that we all practice daily, during all our personal and professional activities.
  2. The Self 1 (an inner, judgmental, self-doubtful self-voice) and the Self 2 (the essence of the individual, their potential self): how to improve their performance with the perception of the dialogue between these two parts. The goal is to learn to identify the voices that speak to us every second, to learn how to soften the judgmental voice, which we often confuse with the voice of our conscience, and to potentiate the voice we almost always ignore.
  3. The formula P = p-i (Performance = potential - interference): Knowing the ways of harnessing your potential and freeing yourself from your own interferences. When we are aware of these interferences, we create space for the development of our true potential.

Coaching is unlocking a person's potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.

Curiosities about Coaching Inner Game®

Timothy Gallwey discovered in the 1970s that people could learn by themselves without many instructions.
This concept revolutionized the way we develop learning and experiences.

His first book had great focus on applying his method to tennis players. The book "The Inner Game of Tennis" sold more than 2 million copies in the US alone and is still the best-selling sports psychology book, according to Amazon.
